He’s Richard…
Say what you will about Richard Simmons, but ever since I reviewed one of his DVDs, I’ve taken a bit of liking to the sparkly king of aerobics. He doesn’t take himself seriously, he really does inspire you to move (and in the videos, generally make an arse out of yourself—in a good way,of course), and he cracks me up because you never know exactly what he’s going to say or do. Although his workout tapes and DVDs are of the PG variety, it turns out that in life outside of the filming set, he’s a bit bawdy. Case in point, this hilarious clip from the improv TV show Whose Line Is It Anyway?
Of course the song style is disco. My favorite quote? “He may be white, but damn look at that ‘fro.” Priceless.
