Today’s Post Is Brought to You by the Number Cinco
Happy Cinco de Mayo! While you’ll hopefully spend some of today giggling at that infamous forward/somewhat lame joke about sinking the mayo (puns are great) and enjoying some Mexican music and food, we’re celebrating the holiday at FBG by listing the five best inexpensive foods, must-do exercises and essential weight-loss tips. Note that margaritas don’t make any of the lists (sad face), but that probably won’t stop us from enjoying one today. Everything in moderation, of course!
Cinco Healthy Foods on the Cheap
Crappy economy got you down and eating Ramen Noodles? Say it ain’t so! There are a number of healthy and cheap foods available; you just gotta know where to look. While I’m a huge fan of frozen veggies and canned beans just for convenience’s sake, it turns out these items are pretty economical, too. Where there’s a will, there’s a way!
No excuses to not eat your veggies!
Cinco Most-Effective Exercises
Before I read the below list of the top five exercises, I tried to come up with my own. I wanted exercises that you could do anywhere and with nothing but your body weight, so I settled on wall squats, lunges, push-ups, planks and bicycle crunches. While my top five exercises are definitely hard enough to get your heart rate up and burn off some of those chips and salsa, check out the list below.
Cinco Top Weight-Loss Tips
With swimsuit season just around the corner, many of us are trying to drop a few pounds. These five tips are no-brainers but easy to forget at times. I especially have trouble with fitting in tip No. 5, although I love me some good sleep and know how good it is for the body and mind!
