Country Hip-Hop Hilarity

Every once in awhile, we come across something that is so odd and unique—and hilarious—that we have to share it with the masses. I credit the hysterical and lovely Rachel Wilkerson for bringing this gem to us. It’s a short yet bizarre dance video that combines two dance styles that should really never be mixed: country and hip hop. And, yes, it is uncomfortably odd. The outfits don’t help, nor does the host’s last name. Not to mention that they actually go on TOUR. Whoa.

Are you busting out the two-step running man at your next dancing function? I just may have to… —Jenn

Not sure if you’ve noticed or not, but if you click on the little pop up it takes you too a pretty political video…

People did this for exercise or to learn a new dance craze ?
    Very weird video… 😐

YouTube is blocked for me here at work (yes, shhh) but I thought since we’re on the topic of odd, unique and country that Hayseed Dixie is worth a mention. Bluegrass covers of things like AC/DC.

Also, in spin class a few weeks ago our instructor played an Oak Ridge Boys’ cover of the White Stripes “Seven Nation Army” and it was actually really enjoyable. Sorry Jack White, almost as good as your version.

Okay, now I’m home and watched the video – I was WAY off on what this was going to be. 1989 called and they want their workout back! Having said that, she dances way better than I ever could….
