Biggest Loser Recap: Everyone Goes Home Then Tears, Tears and More Tears

arthur-bl*SPOILER ALERT* This post reveals details from last night’s The Biggest Loser episode. So if you don’t want to know the dramatic details and results, click away, my friend, click away!

I’m used to getting my weekly cry in during The Biggest Loser, but last night took the teary eyed cake. The players went home for two weeks, reuniting with their friends and family and enjoying plenty of feel-good moments (except for Austin’s friends who tempted him with cake and cheese fries—not cool, yo), such as Hannah getting her groove back on the volleyball court and everyone just being amazed at the contestants’ progress and changes. Next was the intense 5K on those funky CURVE treadmills that resulted in some team swapping. We seriously have to try that treadmill.

And then there was Arthur. I didn’t think that any weigh-in could top the last two week’s, but I was wrong. And cry like a baby I did. Arthur seriously breaks our hearts, and to see him join the red team only to be immediately eliminated by obvious game play was devastating. (The number of f-bombs we saw dropped on Twitter over this was crazy—and totally justified.) Thankfully, he went home and showed everyone that he can do it at home, losing enough weight to be below the 350-pound mark.

Rulon,Justin and sarah disgust also with kaylee losing only 1 lb and she felt she deserve to be there, with justin tellin the audience that Arthur needed to be there more and ayone and then they turn around and stab him in the back with some bulshit speeches. ALL HYPROCRITES.

I cried during that entire episode – it was great! With that said, the game playing is ridiculous. They are there to lose weight and get healthy — it should be a red line every week. Does the red team not realize that their pawns are gone — the next time they lose a weigh in, they will have to vote off a “family” member?

I was furious with the red team last night. How ridiculous! I am very proud of Arthur for sticking to what he learned and his continued weight loss at home. I can’t wait to see him kill it at the finale! However, the more I think about last nights episode, the more I see that the red team has no idea how to actually lose weight on their own. Rulon does becuase well, he’s an Olympian. He should already know how to eat right. Austin showed some real progress being able to tell his friends no (and shame on them for tempting him with such food!!). The rest of them don’t know how to eat properly. During the first 4 weeks of the show their food was prepared for them. The black team learned from the beginning how to eat and prepare healthy food. To me it was obvious at the weigh in which trainers were more successful at getting their teams ready for what they will have to face when they go home. As you said, home is full of distractions and temptations. The black team was given the tools and knowledge to deal with that. The red team was not. I believe that the 2 week trip home proved that Bob and Jillian truly are the best trainers and they definitely know what they are doing. Arthur definitely didn’t deserve to go home last night. Very devestating, but hopefully the red team will use their remaining time on the ranch to actually learn how keep their weight off when they go home!!

I am always disappointed in the game playing, but seeing Bob and Jillian plead for Arthur’s case was heart-wrenching because he needs to be there for the right reasons. To see Arthur go home and resolve some past issues with his father, then get eliminated was heart breaking (and left me bawling), but to see Arthur AFTER going below the 350 lb. mark left me with tears of happiness and hopeful that he will succeed.
