A Stinky Problem and a Giveaway to Prettify Your Pits

Dove deodorant Confession time. In addition to some of the weird postpartum side effects I’ve already mentioned, I noticed another one in my early postpartum months (and let’s be totally honest, even now): I smell! Sure, I could attribute some of my new-found aroma to simply not showering as frequently because of a demanding infant, but this is something different. Whether it’s wacky hormones causing it or what, I don’t know, but if I happen to forget deodorant, I smell like a sweaty guy on a hot summer day in no time at all. And trust me, this was not the case pre-pregnancy; I could go days without deodorant with no negative consequences. We Fit Bottomed Mamas aren’t afraid to sweat, but to stink to high heaven for no reason? No thanks!

I’m already a loyal Dove deodorant user (love those invisible solids!), so when the company wanted me to try out its new Ultimate go sleeveless deodorant, I jumped at the opportunity. Not only would I have an extra deodorant on hand to battle my new underarm problem, but these new sticks also promise to give users softer, smoother underarms in just five days.

I do tend to get pit bumps when I shave, so I was interested to see if I could have prettier underarms in less than a week. And in fact, I did. Whether it was the deodorant or simply because my bumps would have disappeared in a few days anyway, I don’t know. What I do know is that the Ultimate go sleeveless deodorant was as effective as my other Dove faves. It kept me dry on some seriously warm days, with the added bonus of not only masking any odors but also smelling oh-so pretty.  And hey, if they promise an added benefit, why not?

Did you notice more B.O. postpartum? Or am I the lone crazy wolf? And would you like to try these out for yourself? Comment below with why you’d like to try this new Dove deodorant and we’ll pick a few winners! U.S. residents only, please. Winners will be emailed in about a week, and you’ll be ready to bare your pits for the summer! —Erin
