Koi Assisted Birth: Real or Hoax?

Have you heard the one about the woman who wants a koi-assisted childbirth? If you haven’t, read this blog post from the “mom-to-be” herself. I’ll wait.

My first thought was “OM-Holy-G!” My second? This has to be a joke. The mom, Jane, says that the fish will guide her baby up to the water’s surface, but the father, Shane (they rhyme, how cute), will be there with a net, just in case.

Comments on the post (and throughout the mediasphere) range from hysterical laughter to people who genuinely buy into it. And while I seriously doubt it’s for real, I can’t wait until October to see if they post a follow-up telling the internet how it went.
