Clothing for the In-Between Stages: Necessities for Pregnancy and Beyond

Cardigans

Cardigans are a pregnancy necessity and can be worn in those awkward in-between stages.

Cardigans were my best friend during my winter pregnancy. They helped me get tons of mileage out of maternity tanks. And because you don’t need to button them, they can fit you through your entire pregnancy and you can continue wearing them postpartum. The striped cardigan above is particularly perfect for the postpartum stage, as you can cinch the belt to give added definition to your waist. This H&M cardigan is a super affordable wardrobe basic that will take you through pregnancy too.

Comfy Pajama Pants

Comfy PJ pants will get you through those days when you just need to lounge.

One of my pregnancy and postpartum must-haves was a couple of pairs of super-comfy pajama pants. Perfect for those pregnant days when you get home and need to just veg out, as well as those early postpartum days when you never get a chance to change your clothes or shower, the drawstring pajama pant just kicks so much ass. Bonus if it’s a pair that you can sneak to the grocery store in like these.

Scarves

Scarves can add a pop of color and interest to any outfit!

We talked about this lululemon Vinyasa Scarf recently over on FBG, and it’s the perfect accessory. Active scarves like this one can be worn in a trillion different ways and add a splash of color to any outfit and add a focal point while drawing attention up toward your beautiful face. I also love my Borelli scarf that Jenn got me for my birthday!
