An Easy Appetizer to Take to Any Family Gathering

But you have no idea what to bring, and it’s like all of the possibilities have fallen out of your brain and you just don’t know what you’re going to do? Don’t fret; this easy appetizer from Mindy Kobrin of Meals on Heels is ready in minutes and is a step above the cheese and crackers you might have been tempted to throw together in a pinch!

Goat Cheese Crostini Appetizer with Kalamata Olives, Citrus and Thyme Recipe

Prepared in 15 minutes or less. Serves 4.

Ingredients
1/2 cup Kalamata olives
3 sprigs of fresh thyme
3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
1 lemon, zested
1 tablespoon orange zest
1/4 teaspoon ground pepper
1 5-ounce fresh goat cheese medallion

Directions
1. Heat olives, fresh thyme, oil and citrus zests in a small skillet over medium-high heat until aromas are released. Remove from heat and cool to room temperature.

2. Pour olive mixture over goat cheese medallion in a small serving bowl. Serve immediately with crostini and crudités.
