If there’s one thing I love about summer, it’s the abundance of freshness. So many fruits and veggies are in season, and there’s no better way to spend an evening than in a freshly mowed backyard with the grilled fired up and some people you like. I’ve said before that fall is my favorite season to work out in, but when it comes to all-natural, farm-fresh healthy eating, summer wins. Hands down.
So when this little beauty arrived on my doorstep, challenging me to check out French’s mustard as a “naturally amazing” must for my kitchen (and my backyard, too!), it was so game on. (And, confession: Erin and I were already big French’s fans. We both LOVE mustard and as soon as Erin heard we were working with French’s, she immediately snapped a photo of the inside of her fridge — French’s proudly on display — and confirmed her love of the yellow stuff.)

In my box were three French’s bottles, recipes and a cute little jar with mustard seeds. I was already in love — and inspired. French’s Yellow Mustard starts with farm-grown, whole mustard seeds — and you can really tell that in the taste. And on the ingredient label. All yellow mustards may look the same from the outside, but inside every bottle of French’s is 100 percent delicious, 100 percent natural mustard. No funny business like preservatives, fillers or thickeners are in there. And crafted with only the highest-quality, stone-ground, no. 1 grade, whole mustard seeds and select herbs and spices (including my fave, turmeric!), French’s is gluten-free and kosher … with tons of flavor. Which is how I like my eats. And what inspires me to have a full-out grill-out extravaganza!

My “Naturally Amazing” grill out — aptly name for French’s latest campaign — was completely inspired by the delicious yellow stuff and summer. And boy, oh, boy, was it tasty. Up first, my newly created Mustard-Herb Potato Salad that I could probably eat my weight in.

This potato salad is a total crowd-pleaser. Especially when paired with these Shrimp and Mango Kabobs from French’s!

4. Enjoy!
Lastly, because we still had some hot coals and it’s kind of not a grill out unless you have hot dogs, we threw some dogs on the grill alongside a skewer of leftover shrimp we had (next time I must buy a larger red bell pepper)!

Plus, when you do hot dogs, you get to do the whole cool squiggly French’s mustard line. Check out this feast of a dinner!

What I love most about French’s Yellow Mustard is that not only is it all-natural and tastes good on hot dogs and burgers, but also that it’s just so great  in so many varied recipes. You can really, really get creative with it as a calorie-free flavor booster. From marinades (like those on the kabobs!) to tangy salad dressings (potato and otherwise!), French’s Yellow Mustard brings wholesome goodness and fresh taste to my table. And I can’t imagine a summer without it — it’s my preferred mustard for all my favorite summer foods!
