Subscription Boxes for the Organic Mom

Monthly subscription boxes are all the rage these days, and we love the idea: You get a package regularly with lots of fun products to test out for a subscription fee. It’s a really fun way to test new products that you might not discover on your own. Now there’s a company that gives moms and moms-to-be a way to discover healthy, natural and organic products made just for moms and babies. Delivered every other month, EcoCentric Mom offers three different boxes: the Mom-to-Be, Mom and Baby, and the Mom Discovery Box. EcoCentric Mom was founded by mom of four Rebecca Attanasio after realizing just how little information parents are given about what they buy and the effects certain chemicals and food additives may have on us. Jenn and I took one for the team to test out these boxes; Jenn got the mom-to-be version and I got the mom and baby one!

Do you want to make sure the products you use are safe for you and your unborn baby? This box contains products hand selected with moms-to-be in mind. Products include skin care; make-up; organic, whole food prenatal vitamins; organic, non-GMO foods and treats; and spa products. A nice mix of pampering goodies for pregnancy (Tea! Natural foundation! Lip balm!), there were also plenty of useful goodies like snacks (hello cravings), vitamins and cute blank cards to send out to those who have showered you with baby essentials. Definitely a fun box to get as a pregnant mom — and we imagine it would make for a great creative gift for a mom-to-be, too!

Mom & Baby Discovery Box

The Mom and Baby box is for newborns to 18 months. It introduces you to items like diapers and wipes, skin creams and washes, food items and first foods, and organic cotton clothes. My box (above) included a yummy lip balm, two packs of baby wipes, all-natural bug repellent, baby wash, a cream for rashes and bug bites, a board book, new foods to try and blank baby-themed note cards perfect for thank yous. They’re all practical items you’re sure to use in the baby days. I particularly loved the lip balm and comfrey cream, which was perfect for a dry, itchy rash I get on my hands.

All boxes run $24 every-other-month for five to nine sample-sized and full-sized items with a retail value of $24 to $80+ per box. Packed with up-and-coming and established products, this is a way for moms to try items that might come in handy with a baby!
