Kids React to the Birds and the Bees

birdsandbees-585

My 4-year-old daughter has become insatiably curious as of late. She’s been asking how things work all the time. She’s also been really interested in the human anatomy, constantly asking what this bone is called and how body parts work. Add that thirst for knowledge to her interest in anatomy, and it’s only a matter of time before I’ll be explaining where babies come from.

I’ve tiptoed around it because she’s never asked outright, but I’m just waiting for that moment when it’s time to have that talk. Because it’s been on my mind lately, this video landed in my lap at just the right time. In it, parents explain to their kids where babies come from — and one boy actually gives his dad the talk, much to his surprise. The kids and the parents are both just hysterical in this video, so enjoy!

Have you had the talk? We’re getting close. If you feel it coming too, here are tips! —Erin
