7. Fuego Box
Okay, so this is cheating a bit because it’s not just one healthy condiment. It’s LOTS! But we adore hot sauce as a healthy condiment, and, really, choosing a favorite is darn impossible. If you consider yourself to be a hot sauce addict, too, the Fuego Box — a craft, small-batch hot sauce of the month club — is like Christmas year-round. You can get either a quarterly or monthly box and each box comes with three new artisanal hot sauces (except the first batch which has two of their faves, plus a tasting notebook). We’ve gotten three shipments of these and en fuego is right. From sweet and smokey hot sauces to curry and peppers of every variety, we’ve found some new faves. Namely, Born to Hula and Big Fat’s Boom Shanka Chipotle Curry. Holy delicious.
How to eat it: On, um, everything! We’re talking eggs, popcorn, chips, taco salad, pizza, meat, fish, er, LIFE. Put in on life. And enjoy every fiery bite.
