Stir It Up: Mystic Morning and Lively Up

I’ve always loved coffee.
But now?
Well, now, I really, REALLY love coffee. And while — I’ll be honest — any kind of coffee will help get me going after a late night of feedings and diaper changes, really, really good coffee actually helps me get out of bed in the morning with a smile on my face. Which is exactly where my Marley Coffee comes in.
And, yes, that’s Marley as in Bob Marley. The company, which was founded by Rohan Marley (aka Bob Marley’s son), makes 11 different blends and sent me its Mystic Morning and Lively Up! single-serve RealCup capsules to try. All of their coffees are sustainably grown, ethically farmed and artisan-roasted — and, spoiler alert, damn good.

The Mystic Morning was bright, a touch citrusy and had a great balance of depth and flavor while still being light. And the Lively Up! was a darker blend of espresso that tasted like a luxurious way to start the day. I’ve enjoyed it with many a chocolate protein bar or smoothie for breakfast, and it’s darn right chocolaty. So smooth, too.
I really love what this company stands for, too. Besides getting Bob Marley songs stuck in my head on the daily (all the coffees are named after Bob Marley lyrics), Marley Coffee also gives back to 1Love, an organization that honors Bob Marley’s vision of hope and unity, supporting charities that empower people to take action for sustainable and responsible living.
The coffees come in single-serving capsules like I tried but also ground and in whole bean bags. You can get them lots of places — including Amazon. And, seeing that I’m totally addicted to Amazon Prime, I plan to try the Jamaica Blue Mountain coffee next. I drank my body’s weight in Blue Mountain coffee when I was there a few years ago, and I’m oh-so excited to sip on some of that Jamaican goodness again.
Any Bob Marley fans out there? What song is your fave? I’m partial to “Three Little Birds.”Jenn
