Power of Prevention

Credit: striatic

This is one of those good news/bad news sorts of topics. According to the World Health Organization, cancer is responsible for one of every eight deaths worldwide. Without major changes, that number is expected to skyrocket from 7.6 million this year to 17 million by 2030. Yikes! The good news? According to the International Union Against Cancer, about 40 percent of cancers could be prevented if people stopped smoking and overeating, limited alcohol, exercised and got vaccines that target cancer-causing infections. The reasons for living a healthy lifestyle just keep stacking up, people!

Cut your cancer risk.
