Back in November I went to a Jazzercise class and came out saying one thing: “This is not your mother’s workout!” While the class I took was Pilates-based (and left my core sore for days—so it definitely worked), I also had the chance to peek in on a regular class and was super impressed with the high-energy blend of cardio dance and strength set to super-fun songs. Women of all shapes, sizes, ages and backgrounds all just sweating it out and having a blast while doing it. Makes our Fit Bottomed hearts sing!
One of the best parts of Jazzercise though—and the reason why we are thrilled to have them as an FBG Weight-Loss Challenge sponsor—is that the environment is just so encouraging and welcoming. The instructors are all super friendly and knowledgeable, and by the end of a class you feel tired yet accomplished and like you have about 30 new friends. For reals, there’s always a lot of smiling and laughing going on at Jazzercise centers! Not to mention that one hour-long class can burn up to 600 calories.
