This Adorable Bento Box Makes Packing a Healthy Lunch a Cinch

Bored of your same-old packed lunch out of your same-old lunch box you’ve had for years (that endured a soup spill that never really came clean)? If you’re looking to revamp your lunch box for the New Year and refresh your healthy lunch box, we’ve got the one for you. This bright and adorable bento box from Laptop Lunches is irresistible.

A thief steals a cracker.

Just ask my son: He came over and said, “Yummy!” and licked his lips before swiping a cracker. But really, these lunch boxes make it super easy to pack healthy lunches, whether it’s for your adult self or your school-aged kiddos. With two containers with lids and two without, you won’t have to worry about spilling anything. The adorably small lidded green container is perfect for condiments, salad dressing or a few of your favorite small treats, and all of the containers arrange perfectly into the sturdy outer box.

All the forks I tried were too long to fit! Not a big (long) deal!

I love that you can keep wet foods separate from the dry foods and that these are dishwasher-safe (top rack) and microwave safe (sans lids). They’re a little pricey at $23, but they’re sturdy, well made, and snap and unsnap easily. I also love how they map out the MyPlate guidelines on the Laptop Lunches website and how they correspond to the containers so that you can try to balance out your meals as much as possible.

Anything goes in a bento box, and you can certainly get creative. Mine is light on grains (especially after the swiped cracker!) and heavy on fruits and veggies. I was able to fit tons of strawberries and carrots in, along with tuna for my crackers and hummus for carrot-dipping. A few cubes of cheese, and my lunch was complete. Check out all of these awesome ideas for inspiration! This container would be great for those occasions when you have a small amount of leftovers you don’t want to go to waste but when you know you need more than just that leftover casserole for lunch.
