Can’t decide between cereal or a smoothie for breakfast? How about having both? AT THE SAME TIME.
We know. Mind. Blown.
Which is why we’re sharing this Cinna-Crunch Power Smoothie recipe from Lesley Baradel, who counsels adults for their weight-management and sports-nutrition needs and is the co-founder of My Menu Pal. It’s the best of both breakfast worlds — and it puts some of our favorite flavors (banana … nut butter … Greek yogurt … Cinnamon Toast Crunch) together!

Don’t you just love a refreshing cold smoothie on a warm sunny day? Or, how about a yummy bowl of cereal with really cold milk to start your day? Did you ever think of putting the two together to make the perfect breakfast or snack? I never had until the invitation from General Mills to make a milk and cereal smoothie, which sounded like a great idea for three reasons. First, I know General Mills has plenty of fun kid-friendly cereals to jazz up my normal smoothie routine. Second, I know that milk is packed with wonderful nutrients, such as calcium and vitamin D, which are good for my family. Also, cereal contains so many wonderful nutrients that I could not go wrong. And lastly, I love love love to put peanut butter on my small Cinnamon Toast Crunch squares and eat them as a mini-dessert. A perfect combination without any guilt because I’m getting lots of vitamins and minerals from both the cereal and the peanut butter. This, of course, led me to immediately create the Cinna-Crunch Power Smoothie. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

  • ¼ cup almond butter

It’s definitely a sweet treat, but we love how much protein this smoothie has in it. And finally, an answer to the dilemma: should I make a smoothie or have cereal for breakfast?
Have you ever put cereal in a smoothie before? What a fun twist. We’ll have to add it to our list of unique smoothie ingredients, stat!Jenn
