A Sweet, Spicy, Unexpected Way to Eat Salsa

I’m not shy about putting salsa on … a lot of things. Obviously it’s a fit for any food that’s Mexican, Tex-Mex, or Southwestern in origin, but it’s also delicious on most omelets or scrambles, many wraps, a surprising number of salads and, of course, seafood.
But what about dessert?
salsa and ice cream
When Rojos Salsa contacted me about unique ways to use my fave condiment, I’ll admit that I scoffed. Like they were going to tell me something I didn’t already know, right? As it turns out, that’s exactly what they did with their Dessert Surprise.
Salsa on ice cream? Hey, don’t knock it ’til you try it! It’s a little sweet, a wee bit spicy, and nothing like anything else you typically make for dessert. Plus? It couldn’t be any easier. So go ahead and impress your pals with this dessert recipe on your next taco night! (And feel free to invite me if you need something to, you know, help.)
