Can’t Stop the (Friday) Feeling

Years ago I took a Jazzercise class and it was kind of the best thing ever. It wasn’t your mom’s workout either — it was funky, fresh and FUN. So when I saw that Jazzercise put out this cute vid using the song of summer (thanks for that, JT!) as an anthem, I was like YES! Let’s all dance, dance, dance, dance! Can’t stop the feeling …

And now I want to crash Jazzercise HQ and have a dance party with them. Who’s in? —Jenn

Looks like a lot of fun! I haven’t tried Jazzercise before, but I’ve done a bit of Zumba. I didn’t last long because I have two left feet, but it was still a lot of fun. Makes me want to get back to Zumba again. What’s the difference between Jazzercise and Zumba?

Andy, Jazzercise is a cardio based dance fitness program much like Zomba. However, jazzercise mixes more than just Latin style music and dance. Jazzercise uses, ballet, jazz, hip hop, Pilates and yoga moves. Jazzercise has various formats. It the original is called Dance mixx with 30-40 mins of cardio and 20-30 mins of strength training and stretch. The music is current and always changing as well as the moves. Jazzercise also has choreographed instruction, all of the routines are reviewed by a kinesiologist. They also have strength 45 and 60 these are 45 and 60 minute classes of strength, fusion, and flip fusion are all mix of cardio and strength and interval classes are like hit workouts. I hope that answers your question. It’s a blast you should try it! Jazzercise.com
