Surprising Ways Coffee Can Boost Your Health

It doesn’t take much to talk most of us into pouring ourselves a big cup of coffee in the morning. (Although Ali sure makes a compelling case for swapping it out, huh?)
Still, it’s always nice to know that something you love and enjoy has some good-for-ya elements to it, so we were psyched to see this fun infographic come in from Espresso Works. Sure, a few of the health benefits of coffee they list are things we’ve been talking about for a while, but there are a few surprises in there!

How do you like to spice up your coffee? I’m all about the cashew milk these days, although sometimes I’ll grate in a little bit of cacao powder from a cacao nut my mother-in-law brought me from a recent trip to Granada. It feels so fancy! And, of course, there are loads of other ways to get out of your coffee rut if you’re seeking caffeination inspiration. —Kristen

  1. Aubrey says:

I sprinkle a little cinnamon and nutmeg in my coffee each morning rather than adding sugar.

  2. I agree, love the cinnamon, nutmeg and almond milk additions! I like going bulletproof and adding coconut oil, MCT oil or grass-fed better, depending on my mood 🙂 I’m super surprised about the findings with reduction in depression for people who have more than 4 cups of coffee, it seems like a lot! And I’ve always heard and thought that more coffee adds to more stress. I try to have just 1 cup a day.

  3. Coffee is a wonderful drink that we’ve ever had, a glass in the morning is perfect for a day. But don’t drink too much coffee. You will lose sleep. I’m going to try a little cinnamon and nutmeg on the coffee to see how it works. Thanks for the post
