NuGo Slim Raspberry Truffle or Smallworld Beauty Coco Berry Crisp?

smallworld beautySmallworld Beauty Coco Berry Crisp

This isn’t our first time reviewing Smallworld Beauty’s protein bars, and in the past, we’ve always been a fan. So, let’s just say that the new Coco Berry Crisp had big shoes to fill. And fill it did! This natural protein bar is made with hemp and soy protein (I’ve gotten into hemp protein lately, so this was a plus for me), along with real foods like dark cocoa, green tea extract, goji berries, strawberry leaves, flax and spinach. Oh, how the hippie in me rejoices at the ingredient list! There are 195 calories in each bar, along with 10 grams of protein, 5 grams of fiber and 14 grams of sugar. Also gluten-free, low-glycemic and with an ingredient list you can pronounce, the Coco Berry Crisp wrapper claims that one bar has six-plus servings of fruits and veggies.

Just like the NuGo Slim bar knocked our socks off in the taste department, so did this one. Equally delicious as the Raspberry Truffle, Smallworld Beauty Coco Berry Crisp had a nice subtle crunch to it and a natural berry flavor with dark-chocolate taste. While still sweet-tasting, this protein bar does taste a bit more healthy—I swear you can scantly taste the hemp and greens, but in a good way. At least for me. (I prefer my health food to actually taste a little natural instead of like a candy bar.)
