Being that I just got over THE WORST flu I have ever experienced (think mono on bath salts), I am a firm advocate of disinfecting anything you touch in a public setting. I work from home, so I avoid a lot of the yearly sicknesses that go around, but I forgot about the gym. I touch and breathe in everything in that place without even thinking twice, so it was only a matter of time before I picked up someone’s sloppy seconds. Ew.
Thankfully, the folks from GoSwype were cosmically in tune with my immune system. The team sent a couple of their microfiber cleaning cloths which kill up to 98 percent of germs and bacteria, including E. Coli, Staph and Salmonella. I make sure to use the cleaning sprays the gym has on hand, but now I use these lovely wipes to wipe down my hands, and cell phone (I run with it on my arm) post-workout.
These godsends are only $1.99, last up to two weeks and are tiny enough to slip in my bag or running short pocket. Plus, they even come in fun patterns and also get rid of dirt, oil, grime and fingerprints. As a self-proclaimed germophobe, I’ve found my joy.
