Workout I Did: Steps and Upper Body Reps
There are people at the gym who grab a Stairmaster and go to town for an hour. They usually have strong bums. But I am not those people. While I love running stairs outside, the stepmill gets tedious quickly. Not to mention that without a break, my biscuits get burning really fast.
When I want to give the Stairmaster some love, this is my go-to workout. It lets me move around so that I don’t get bored, plus it gives my lower body a break while I focus on my upper body in between stints on the stairs. It’s perfect for those of us with exercise ADD. If you don’t have a stepmill handy, head outside to run stairs or hills. If it’s too cold but you have a treadmill, walk on a steep incline before you work in the upper-body moves.
Are you one of those people who can rock an hour on the Stairmaster or do you get bored five flights in? —Erin
