It’s Never Too Late to Set New Year’s Resolutions

New Year's Resolutions

I’m usually on top of New Year’s Resolutions, with detailed plans for what I want to accomplish in the year. This year, I only came up with one because Jenn wrote me an email asking for one for a New Year’s post she was working on. Now that it’s several days into 2011 and the confetti has settled, I figured it was time to add a couple more goals to my list. After all, it’s never to late to set goals!

Erin’s Goals for 2011

1. Stop the sugar mania. As I mentioned on FBG , I’ve had a bit of a sweet tooth for awhile. And while treats are great and “all good things in moderation” yada yada yada, I’ve had a bit of a problem with the “moderation” part. Must work on that to set a good example for the baby and all you fit mamas out there!

2.  Start the workouts. I’ll be the first to admit that I’ve been slacking in the workout department. Something to do with a small baby, no time, cold weather, early darkness, et cetera et cetera et cetera. No more excuses! While I’m surprised at my own strength sometimes (carrying a baby in an infant car seat is no easy task!), I need to get back to those traditional workouts. I’m going to start small, aiming for three 30-minute workouts a week.

3. Join a class. I’m planning to look into infant swim classes as soon as Avery hits the 6-month mark. Not only will it give us a chance to do something healthy and fun, but I’m hoping it will also give me the opportunity to meet other fit mamas out there!

There you have it. Nothing unreachable there. And to keep me accountable, I’m going to update you on my progress in February. To infinity and beyond! What are your goals for 2011? —Erin
