This Frozen Yogurt Is Frozen Awesome!

yogen fruz, frozen yogurt, probiotic yogurt, low-calorie yogurt, sweet treat, summer treat, dessertOh sweet gods of deliciousness, give me my sin again! FBG Jenn asked if I’d be down to try Yogen Früz, this new yogurt the Hollywood hotties of Los Angeles are raving about, and I groaned out a small “yes.” Yogurt places out here are a dime a dozen. There are literally four different places in a four-block radius, which makes me a very picky yogurt-chooser. Yogen Früz definitely surprised the heck out of me though.

I tried the acai yogurt with strawberry and blueberries sprinkled on the top, and my dang eyes rolled. This is probiotic yogurt (lactobacillus paracasei, to be exact). I don’t know about ya’ll, but the first thing that comes to mind when you say probiotic is grainy icky yuck stuff. But this was smooth and fresh. It’s truly a low-calorie, high-protein mix—perfect for an after-workout snack or treat on the weekend.

It’s a bit cliché, but it’s swell eating something that tastes good and is also good for you. I had no problem downing my little cup of the stuff and then patting my belly. I made sure to tell the probiotics to handle their business and went about my day. Basically, the company has a new groupie named Tish.

I think the next time I’ll try the chai tea mix or the green tea lychee. About a half cup of this delicious stuff has just 110 to 120 calories without fruit toppings. Which is bananas! Actually, it’s lychees…but you get my drift.
