Over the years, I’ve really fallen in love with cooking. Whether it’s making my own pizza, grilling some salmon or whipping up a batch of low-fat pumpkin muffins, I’m kind of becoming a foodie of late. So much so that I’m getting jazzed about bowls. Yeah, mixing bowls. But they aren’t just any cooking bowls. They’re eco-friendly. And pretty! Oh, so very pretty. See?
The Zak Confetti Mixing Bowls come in a brightly colored four-pack, and each are made with recycled melamine. (A big thanks to my friend Andrea who got these for me as a gift. She’s apparently the best gift-giver, ever.) In fact, the whole confetti-look was created because of all the different recycled products that go into making the mixing bowls. And did I mention they’re pretty?
While I obviously do use them when mixing things, I’ve found that they’re useful in pretty much all of my healthy cooking and eating endeavours. Need to toss a salad for dinner? Use the big red one (spinach looks extra pretty in it, by the way). Want to whip up a vinaigrette? Grab the little yellow one. Need a bowl for a salad the size of your face (which I often do)? The green one is your best bet. From serving dishes to storing leftovers in the fridge to making cookies (all good things in moderation, see below), I’ve used them for everything. And the fact that they’re dishwasher safe, stain resistant, and free of BP, PVC, phthalate and lead? Heck to the healthy yes.
Do you have a piece of cookware in your kitchen that helps you to cook healthy meals? Or inspires you to cook at home more often? What is it? We wanna know! —Jenn
