New Healthy Snacks: Sharkies Fruit Chews

There are a bunch of fun ways to get your fruity and new healthy snack on with Sharkies. For the athletes in the house, we’re loving its new Organic Energy Sports Chews that have electrolytes, sugar to keep you moving and no gluten, wheat, dairy or animal products. (All the flavors taste pretty good, but Watermelon Scream was our taste-testing fave.)

When not training or racing though, Sharkies Organic Fruit Chews and Omega 3 Smart Twists are a fab choice. Kind of like those fruit snacks you grew up eating only minus the high-fructose corn syrup and artificial dyes, the Organic Fruit Chews are great when camping or in the car (especially if you want something sweet). And with 70 calories a package, it’s a sweet treat that won’t break the calorie bank—and they come in cute little shark shapes, which we think is a totally fun bonus. The Omega-3 Smart Twists (try Berry Surf!) also have 70 calories apiece, along with a full serving of fruit and 20 milligrams of omega-3 fatty acids. Now that’s a smart shark. Again, the chews and twists are marketed to the kiddos, but don’t let that stop you from gobbling them up with gusto.

What new healthy snacks are you munching on this summer? Tell us about ’em! —Jenn

  1. Oh! that’s good snack idea. it’s easy and yummy, perfect for me. Thank You!

  2. Interesting list of products here, but surely all you need in a gym bag is a banana, a shaker of chilled milk and a few scoops of protein powder ready to add to the milk? It doesn’t get much better than that for a post workout treat!
