How Much Would You Pay for a Blender?
Earlier this week, Kristen shared how a blender changed her life for the better. And, long ago, I admitted that I spent a ridiculous amount on a Vitamix (and think it’s been worth every penny, for the record). But what about you? In a world of lots of kitchen appliances (I mean, people really buy quesadilla makers and chocolate fountains?), how much are you willing to shell out for a blender?
As always, please elaborate in the comments! Would love to hear why you chose what you chose (and what you make with your blender, pricey or not)! —Jenn

This summer I spent about $70 on a Cuisinart blender. Impulse buy. 350 Watts! Crushes ice!! Only, it doesn’t crush ice as good as the $15 blender I got at Walmart. Sure, that one eventually broke, but I got more than my money out of it. And it actually made better protein shakes. Now I feel like I’m suck with this one because I spent so much on it.
After using many blenders that left clumps of protein powder and spinach behind, I broke down last November and treated myself to a Vitamix. I bought the smaller Aspire model and I LOVE it! I can make hot soup (i.e. butternut squash or broccoli cheddar soup) in 5 minutes. I make at least two protein smoothies a day, soups, dips, salsa and mock mashed potatoes (cauliflower) as well.
I have about 5 blenders, but the only one I use is the Vitamix 500 pro. Worth every penny! Fabulous for healthy eating, juicing, smoothies and soups…. Not to mention a few killer margaritas here and there! 🙂
