Talk about a movement! SparkPeople.com has helped millions of people become active and healthy and their Total Body Sculpting with Coach Nicole DVD is no exception.

This all-in-one DVD features three 20-minute workouts that focus on sculpting and toning a beautiful and fit body. With tons of bonus features, including sneaky leg toners you can do at work, this DVD provides an all-inclusive training session that continues to challenge. Alongside Coach Nicole are two women who help demonstrate all three levels of each exercise, so whether you’re a newbie or a seasoned “T-shirt soaker,” you’ll have an opportunity to challenge yourself. Coach Nicole is definitely a Fit Bottomed Girl and according to Jenn she is “your normal, non-brutal friend, who can’t do laundry on her abs.” Coach Nicole’s positive and supportive attitude makes her an awesome workout partner and almost (I said almost) has you forgetting that you’re there to get a workout in.

These three distinct workouts include a ballet-inspired barre routine, an equipment-free heart pumper and a strengthening dumbbell routine. This workout DVD is easy to follow, and there are fun and quick cardio bursts to get your heart rate soaring. The first two workouts focus mostly on lower-body exercises—and to get the most “bang for your buck,” Nicole incorporates many compound movements. What I thoroughly enjoyed about these segments was that each exercise built on the other. There is no randomness to these routines, just sequence and purpose!

Thinking about trying this DVD out? This is what else you should know!

Barre Body Blast: This ballet-inspired barre routine burns close to 100 calories (I used my heart rate monitor!) and is about 19 minutes long. All that is needed is one light hand weight and a chair (I used my couch). With the main focus on lower-body exercises, this routine includes variations of plies, squats and leg lifts. I personally wasn’t too challenged by this routine, but it would be good for beginners.

Bodyweight Burn: This routine includes cardio spurts, floor exercises and body-weight exercises. During this 20-minute workout, you’ll jam out to rock music and work on your balance as you challenge yourself with single-leg deadlifts, squats, lunges, hamstring curls and core exercises.

Sizzle-Sculpt: The final routine on this DVD uses a light pair of free weights to create resistance and toning, especially in the upper body. Like the other two routines, this workout incorporates squats and lunges, but also hits the rest of the body with hammer curls, rows, shoulder presses and raises and tricep extensions. This is by far my favorite routine, but I love a good burn from weights!

Total Body Sculpting with Coach Nicole not only includes awesome bonus features but also helpful tools to jump start your “fit” progress. Sparkpeople.com has many tasty recipes—and if you want some healthy pizza, you should give their cookbook and this recipe a shot!
