Undies That Move With You During Workouts

Seeing that our last couple of posts on workout undies have generated so much interest, we thought, hey, why not do another review? We know quite a few of you go commando when working out, but for those of you who do rock undies when sweating it out, this Jockey review is for you. And Jockey sent us three different “Moves With You” pairs to try: Bikini, Hipster and Boyshort (from left to right).

Jockey's newest undies move with you not against you during workouts

Jockey’s newest undies move with you, not against you, during workouts.

There’s a couple of key things we look for in a good pair of undies, working out or not. First, they can’t give you a wedgie (industry term is actually “ride up,” but wedgie is way more fun). Second, they have to be comfy — not squeezing you too tight, falling down or getting bunchy in the crotch. And when it comes to working out, they must dry quickly. Because you know what’s not awesome? Getting a yeast infection. Bonus if they’re cute, too. And Jockey’s new Moves With You line hits most of those marks.

Simple yet still stylish, they have a more tailored fit that moves with your body as you move, whether you’re running, doing yoga or just about anything else. A curved back gusset and center back seam give you good shape to the backside (nice for the fit bottom) and flat elastic in the leg provides for a smooth, seamless finish — with less likelihood of chafing. They also have a low-rise fit, which we dig. Of the three cuts, Bikini was our favorite, but that was more of a personal preference than anything else. They each come in sizes small to extra large, and in lots of fun patterns and colors.

That said, be warned that these are made of 95 percent cotton and 5 percent spandex, meaning that they aren’t exactly sweat-wicking. So if you are going to wear them, either do something where you don’t get too sweaty or be sure to get out of them pronto after a workout (no checking your email, unloading the dishwasher, etc.!).

Overall, at $11 a pair, these are a good affordable everyday option for your lady parts. We’d still spring for a more workout-specific pair for training runs, hiking, etc., but to wash and wear daily? We love! Very comfy and, yes, they really do move with you!
