Kellogg’s Special K Nourish: Which Flavors Passed the Taste Test?

Lemon Twist: The texture was similar to your typical protein bar, but the lemon flavor was surprisingly light; I was not overwhelmed with flavor but still got the distinct taste of lemons within the grains. Recommended? Fo’ sho’. If you dig lemon-flavored snacks (or lemon cookies or lemon bars …), I imagine you will be pleased with this lemony snack.

Cranberry Almond: I’ve always had a weakness for cranberry flavored anything, so I was certain this bar would be my favorite. OH WOE IS ME! This was my least favorite bar. Although there were craisins and almond chunks mixed in (usually a smashin’ duo), the combination just didn’t work as well as the others. Now, before you stick this product back on the grocery shelf, let me say that this is a good snack; just not one that I (the cranberry lover) would choose over the many nutrition bars within the granola aisles.

Dark Chocolate Nut Delight: This bar I could do some serious damage on. Like the others, it was very grainy, but packed a great blast of chocolate without being too sweet, which satisfied my inner chocolate monster. There were peanuts, cashews and almonds, adding some great flavor without taking away from all that chocolaty goodness.
