Maple Apple Turkey Pita to the Rescue

One of my biggest struggles with consistently eating healthy is that I get tired of having the same old thing. I find lunch to be the hardest meal to add variety. Sandwiches are usually the go-to “pack your lunch for work” meal, but I am so sick of them! And I bet you are, too.
We are often trying to squeeze lunch in somewhere in our busy day, which makes it very easy to make bad food decisions. For lunch we need something quick and easy, but still delicious and satisfying to get us through the afternoon slump. That’s where the Maple Apple Turkey Pita comes to the rescue. It is easy to make and easy to transport, perfect for a quick lunch-break or meal on the go.
Ingredients
1 small whole-wheat pita
1 tablespoon Alouette garlic & herbs cheese spread
4-6 maple glazed turkey slices
¼ apple, chopped

This pita is great with just these three ingredients, but there are tons of other ways to dress it up if you’d like. Some optional toppings may include bacon, tomatoes, onions or lettuce — my husband likes me to add bacon to his!
And just for your convenience, we made this recipe easy to print!
