3 Totally Unexpected High-Protein Snacks
3. Enlightened Good-For-You-Crisp
You probably know Enlightened for its frozen treats (which are TASTY), but did you know they now have high-protein snacks that are more savory? Oh, heck to the yes. And they are delicious. Made from broad beans (that seem like fava beans that have been flattened) that are lightly roasted in sunflower oil, lightly salted and seasoned (the Garlic and Onion is heavenly — and the Wasabi is to DIE FOR), these are light and airy but filling. A one-ounce serving has 100 calories, 7 grams of protein, 3 grams of fiber and come in a resealable pack so they’re great on the go. This high-protein snack was just launched so be on the lookout for ’em!
What other high-protein snacks do you love? It’s hard for me to beat the ol’ hard-boiled egg, but those broad beans are giving those a run for their money! —Jenn
