12-Minute Fat-Burning Cardio Core Bodyweight Workout

We teased last year (that sounds so funny since it was just a week ago, right?) that we’d be introducing a few new things around here. One of those things is more content and workouts from some of our favorite Fit Bottomed Dudes. And you simply can’t say “favorite” and “Fit Bottomed Dudes” and have it not mean Sean Vigue. Welcome to the New Year and an opportunity to begin on the right foot (or many feet as this workout demonstrates)!

I realize that the holidays can be magical but also very stressful with all the things we have to finish — not to mention the excessive eating and drinking that tags along. It’s what we do and to attempt to avoid it altogether is next to impossible. We usually keep repeating to ourselves that we’ll get back on our eating and exercise program once the New Year hits. Saying that over and over helps keep us sane.

Well, fortunately I have you covered for the exercise part! This quick, convenient and totally effective 12-minute fat-burning cardio core bodyweight workout will get you back on track and moving forward in the New Year.

When I say bodyweight, I mean ZERO weights or equipment are needed — so this workout fits into even the busiest of schedules. It also means you can do this workout anywhere and anytime — though I don’t recommend doing it in the produce section of your market. That may be too much …

I made sure to sprinkle this workout with a healthy dose of cardio moves, Pilates, calisthenics, abdominal work and a little yoga stretching to build a strong, flexible and lean body. Keep an eye out for my dog Addie as she roams around the beautiful Colorado Rockies backdrop (and even does a downward facing dog). Every workout I film includes core work and flexibility training in some form to keep our bodies as loose, powerful and supple as possible. Create a flexible body strong from the core outward and it will serve you well in every sport, activity and movement.

    I would love to win this cardio set! After a personal one on one session with a personal trainer (I couldn’t afford personal training sessions) to find out what I needed to do to lose weight he said….CARDIO!!! I LOVE Leslie Sansone’s WATP DVD’s as well but I know that I have to add cardio in my routine. This would be the perfect thing!

    I like doing body eight exercises too like push up, planking, and a lot of things. I do some dumbells too, but not that much since I am suffering from a carpal tunnel syndrome(must have been from too much computer and lifting eights). I’ll be adding some of those to my workout regime soon.

    I just purchased the book power yoga it is very effective for me …..it is expensive for me but know i start wathing ur videos ….. Cardio training is father of exercises

    I mostly do my workouts and cross fit keeping in mind that i have to build muscle with staying fit and stretchable. If there’s anything from which i can gain good muscle mass and staying fit altogether please do share with me.

And following a few tips. I also bought sports equipment to support my activities. And some things I need also exists. When I was lazy to leave the house, I could see the video and doing sports.     Great video, simple exercises can be practiced in limited space in a twelve minute workout. Just add some music.

    Thank you for this very useful article. Sports that can pump the heart and drain sweat, also called aerobic or cardio exercise, the benefits should not be underestimated for the body and brain.
