Unique Ways to Get Your Collagen
Collagen, collagen, collagen.
Every where I go and every time I scroll, it seems like people just can’t get enough collagen.
I get it. With purported benefits such as improving everything from gut health to to cardio health to joint health, it is the current hotness in the nutrition world.
And, on the off chance you’re into collagen these days, too, but are getting a bit tired of the ol’ bone broth …
Let me introduce you to two other ways to get your collagen in. And, guys, they are SUPER tasty!
Vital Proteins Original Matcha Collagen
Vital Proteins has basically taken two superfoods here — matcha green tea powder and collagen — and put them together into one delicious powder that is delicious and refreshing. You can see the nutritional info and ingredients above, but, guys, this is so clean and full of all kinds of amino acids with just a little bit of caffeine and no added sugar (the original matcha flavor doesn’t taste sweet at all, but they have a peach version that I imagine does). I love it mixed with just cold water (and it mixes really well and really easily, which is fantastic) as a healthy pick-me-up in the afternoon, but I bet it’s also tasty in smoothies and with hot water.
Primal Kitchen Collagen Fuel Vanilla Coconut Collagen Peptide Drink Mix
Since I don’t handle dairy well these days, I rarely put cream in my coffee. Which is sad. BECAUSE I LIKE CREAM IN MY COFFEE. But this Primal Kitchen Collagen Peptide Drink Mix helps with that sadness. A packet of this blends well into a large cup of coffee (like, an oversized cup — there’s a lot of powder in each packet) and almost creates a latte-like drink with a vanilla flavor that’s sweet and really satisfying (protein and fat seems to do that, eh?). It’s also tasty in smoothies and, although I haven’t tried it, peeps seem to like it in hot and cold water, too. I found the packets to be really convenient, but it also comes in this larger container. It’s definitely a great way to start the morning for me!
