This week marks the 12th birthday of Fit Bottomed Girls.
Which is crazy — 12 years! On the internets! With you amazing people!
And, usually, our birthdays are a big cause for celebration. But with everything going on right now — *waves hand around at EVERYTHING* — it feels, well, a little weird.
Just like yours, our lives have changed. Because the world has changed. And it goes way beyond wearing masks to get groceries and not being able to go to the gym like we once did.
As we adapt to living in this new normal, we’ve embraced a simpler approach in all areas of our lives — including FBG.
In a nutshell: It’s not about us doing or creating more; it’s about making a difference where we can in this new reality.
And one of the biggest ways we believe we can do that right now?
By opening up access to all of our coaching programs, worksheets, and classes for free. Go here for free access.
Diet culture is running rampant even now, and our hope is that by providing these programs at no cost, we can reduce one of the barriers people encounter when breaking free of that mindset. (Heads up — by watching a quick ad before each video, you help support the site. Thank you!)
Now more than ever we’re committed to our mission and to doing the most good with our platform in the time we’ve got. That means that we’re amplifying others’ voices more, digging into our archives to give you the resources you need right now (home workouts, recipes, and meditations for example), and sharing our own experiences when we can and as we believe is truly helpful (on the site and on Instagram — @FitBottomedGirl).
You can learn more about other ways that we’re simplifying the site, our business, and our lives in this final podcast ep (including some of the new projects we’re working on, plus you’ll find out how you can work with us outside of FBG if you’ve got writing, editing, branding, or consulting needs).
We know we have so much to be grateful for — our readers, our listeners, our followers, the incredible and aligned brands we work with for campaigns, and our ad network (shout out to the amazing AdThrive!).
So, while we may not be in your feed quite as often as we once were, know that we’re still around — we’re just stopping to smell the flowers a little more, because life is precious. We hope you do the same.
And, last but not least, THANK YOU. Thank you for the last 12 years … and for stepping into this new future with us.
