She Loves Me: Oh Treadmill, you are so convenient ! You are there for me to use whenever I desire.

She Loves Me Not: Oh Treadmill, I have to wheel you in and out of your designated parking area every, single time I want to walk.

She Loves Me: On rainy days, foggy days, snowing days, I can always count on you Treadmill !

She Loves Me Not: You can be boring at times when there is nothing on the boob-tube and nothing is on the radio.

She Loves Me: I know that walking is the best, easiest exercise that I can do and Treadmill, I love you !

    Dear Wii Fit,
You are a harsh mistress, full of admonitions. Does our relationship have a future?

She loves me – All around fun – hours can easily disappear when we’re spending quality time together.

She loves me not – A true scolding nag, she slaps my wrist when I haven’t hopped on in a couple days, yells at me when I put on a pound or two…or an ounce…, creates art in my image with a serious spare tire. It’s the mocking that really hurts.

She loves me – Variety is the spice of life and she offers many choices.

She loves me not – why do I have to stop and start again every two or three minutes? It’s hard to get in a good hour of activity when I have to stop, wait, and get going again. I’ve had dates like this.

  3. Sara says:

She Loves Me: SkyRobics, I love that your are not a piece of gym equipment.

She Loves Me Not: SkyRobics, I often feel as if I will pass out in the 60-minute class because you are so intense!

She Loves Me: SkyRobics, I feel like a kid jumping on trampolines again!

She Loves Me Not: Sky Robics, I am 30 years old and it’s not as easy jumping around on you continuously for an hour as it was when I was a kid!

  4. Amber Saxby says:

My boyfriend has a signature workout he has written a book about called the 3-2-1 workout. It’s a sequence of 300 situps, 200 lunges and 100 pushups and in a set amount of time. Love it for an all around workout and easy when you can’t make it to the gym. His motto is, “all you need is a floor!”

  5. Erin says:

She Loves Me: Beachbody programs, I love your convenient schedules and awesome meal plans.

She Loves Me Not: Beachbody programs, why are you so expensive?

She Loves Me: Beachbody programs, you inspire me to workout each day.

She Loves Me Not: Beachbody programs, seeing the same instructor everyday can get old real fast.

  6. Cati says:

Written from the perspective of expecting a little one, doing any kind of workout 🙂

She loves me: Exercise gives me ( some ) energy, and I know it will benefit me and the baby during my pregnancy.

She loves me not: Exercise has shown me how much my body changed and so fast! I now have reduced strength, endurance and speed, and longer recovery time!

She loves me: Exercise will prepare me for labor!

She loves me not: Exercise will not prepare me for a newborn. 🙂

She loves me Zumba- you are so fun, I love shaking it with my friends
She loves me not- $65 for 12 50 minute classes… First time great! Second time not so easy to swallow
She loves me- knowing i’m burning lots of calories & having a great tome is awesome!
She loves me not- I don’t think I look even half as coordinated as the (half my age & half my size) instructor
She loves me- I just bought the DVDs and bonus toning bars/shakers from qvc! Hooray for affordable Zumba!

  8. anne hill says:

She loves me: Zumba – your DVDs let me feel like a fool in the privacy of my own home
She loves me not: Zumba – I haven’t the experience to refine my Zumba techniques to get more benefit from you
She loves me: Zumba – your peppy moves make me feel hot in my new work-out clothes
She loves me not: Zumba – am I even doing you right? and when will I notice an improvement in my body?

  9. Erin says:

    Dear Boot Camp,

We have been together a few months now. I consistently make the effort to show up twice a week, even if I have a very long day. What have you given me in return for my dedication?

She loves me: Even if I am exhausted at the beginning, I feel refreshed when the hour is over.

She loves me not: Burpees are hard enough, but you just had to sneak in a plyometric aspect of them, didn’t you?

She loves me: A great cardiovascular and strength training workout packaged into one session.

She loves me not: You want me to do HOW many push-ups? Now you’re just being mean. And, of course, you have to wait until the end after my arms are already tired. That’s just plain evil!

She loves me: The sense of camaraderie during the workout and how we motivate each other to succeed has resulted in great friendships. We may all say that we hate you, but secretly, we love you too.

  10. Meg says:

Afternoon runs on the dirt road

She loves me: You are so peaceful and give me time to think.

She loves me not: When there is a foot of new snow and 20 mph winds, there is nothing peaceful about being in the middle of nowhere.

She loves me: I can wear my Hawiian race skirt and a tie dye shirt, and the only one judging me is my dog.

She loves me not: As that foot of new snow melts, it doesn’t matter what I wear because it is caked in mud when I get home anyway.

She loves me: I can stretch my stride, change my pace, and take in the beauty of the outdoors.

She loves me not: The skunk in the ditch on the corner…not funny…

  11. Libby says:

Dear personal goal to sign up and pay for at least a 5k a month,

I’ve now maintained you for 18 months, and still going strong. Not only that, but I’m ahead of the game with races for every month currently through this coming August (including two 1/2 marathons, yikes!).

She loves me: when I average it out, this is still cheaper that a gym membership.

She loves me not: what the heck was I thinking, I’m in Oregon, it rains on race days most of the year.

She loves me: I’m in Oregon, where odds are, there will be two, not one, but two! glasses of beer for me waiting at the end of said soggy race.

She loves me not: Damn you course maps for showing me elevation gain.

She loves me: who knew that I would come to enjoy running after 29 years of not enjoying?

She loves me not: the treadmill gets a little boring in the winter months.

She loves me: but you have John Stewart to watch will running in place, and he doesn’t care if you are all sweaty or not.

She loves me not: odds are you are never going to place in your age division (unless you keeps this up until you are 85, then I think you have a chance)

She loves me: you are up early, and running in the rain, and having fun. This is still faster than your couch.
