In this final episode before the finale, much happened! While Tweeting live during the show last night, we first learned that Jillian Michaels may not rejoin the show after the next season that starts in January (season 11). Ack!
“I want to take a year off TV and focus on becoming a mommy and doing more charity work,” she said in a Tweet late last night.
While we’re obviously Bob Harper fans, we also like Jillian and think the show will be seriously weird without her. Although we can’t fault her for wanting to take some time off and start a family. Girlfriend works around the clock! And we’re already trying to figure out who could replace those big shoes. Some on Twitter guessed Kim Lyons, but we’re not so sure after our interview with her back in 2009. Only time will tell!
Besides all that drama, last night’s episode was dang exciting. From the final four heading home and losing weight on their own to Ada’s emotional meeting with her parents to the running of The Biggest Loser marathon, the two hours were full of action. Not to mention the surprising weigh-in—where two didn’t lose nearly as much weight as everyone expected. (Although with marathon training I know from personal experience that you can actually gain weight, not lose.)
