They sure don't look like this anymore, do they?

*SPOILER ALERT* This Biggest Loser recap reveals details from last night’s episode. So if you don’t want to know the dramatic details and results of episode 11, click away, my friend, click away!

Having to stay up a little later than normal to watch last night’s The Biggest Loser 12 episode was totally worth it! While this season started out kind of slow, it’s really gotten interesting over the last few weeks. And episode 12 didn’t disappoint.

It was a happy cry-fest. (Seriously, everyone was crying it out on Twitter.) Between seeing the contestants back at home, working out and reuniting with their families (always fun to see how they’re adapting back into “real” life) and then watching the videos they made for themselves pre-The Biggest Loser, it was inspirational and amazing to see how much each one of them has changed inside and out. It was fun to see Antone chest-pressing his kids, Becky teaching and Vinny Mack singing. Even John, who I think has the crazy in him, has come leaps and bounds.

Oh, and let’s discuss Vinny Mack going from “fat funny guy” to an emotionally smart and confident guy. Between proposing to his girlfriend (we all saw that one coming!) and talking to his mom about past abuse by his father, it was a real moment that was reminiscent of Ada Wong’s family situation. I’ve always enjoyed Vinny, but he really won me over last night.

And then there was the marathon. Windy, dusty and in the desert, it looked to be a brutal and pretty boring course (they even had to repeat a lap!). I was happy to see Dr. H pull a few people due to injury (about time BL did this!), and I was super surprised at how competitive it really was. After Ramon and Courtney battled it out for first, Ramon ended up taking first (I SO didn’t see that coming!) with Courtney just a few minutes behind taking second place. Having run a marathon myself, watching the BL 12 contestants run 26.2 miles brings back so many proud memories. Love it!

After winning the marathon, Ramon secured his spot in the finale, and then it was weigh-in time for the other four contestants. After a pretty heated weigh-in with John (what was with the overly aggressive smack-talk? Lame), it’ll be an all-male finale three of Antone, John and Ramon. While I’m good with either Ramon or Antone winning it, I hope just a little more that Antone takes it all. As stated before, I heart him for his honesty, hard work and ability to call John out.

Seriously, can’t wait for the finale next week!!! Hoping a girl wins the at-home prize, too…
