3. Eco Vessel’s Aqua Vessel Insulated Filter Bottle. Seeing that we haven’t found the perfect filtered bottle just yet, we might be getting close with this one. The Aqua Vessel Insulated Filter Bottle only holds 15 ounces of water (the major drawback), but it does keep your water cold and it is pretty easy to drink from. Also—and this is the really cool stuff—is that it has a sustainable plant-based filter, is tested to remove 99.9 percent of Giardia and Cryptosporidium (awesome when backpacking!), and its activated coconut shell carbon reduces toxic chemicals, heavy metals, microscopic pathogens, chlorine, sediment and dirt, according to Eco Vessel. Yes, they had us at “activated coconut shell,” too. At $35 to 40, we know it’s pricey. But it’s a keeper. And it comes in cool colors. Plus, the coconut activation.

  1. Jenn, thanks so much for your write-up! We can’t wait to hear your thoughts on lifestinks® once you try it. We wrote a blog post about Fit Bottomed Girls because we love kind words like yours. We’re a grass roots organization and the blogosphere has been a great way to connect with like-minded folk. Thanks a bunch! http://duggansisters.com/blog/2012/06/07/lifestinks-in-the-blogosphere-fit-bottomed-girls/

Yep, sounds like it’s both eco-friendly and skin-friendly. Vitamin C, Greean Tea, and White Tea are great for the skin.

    Thanks for the lovely review.
