Ding Dong! Organic Produce Delivery From The Fruit Guys!
Isn’t it a little uncanny and a lot strange how sometimes the universe provides for your exact needs precisely when you need it? This isn’t the first time I’ve had something I genuinely needed land on my doorstep for a review, but this is the time when I truly needed it most!
Let me set the stage: Toddler, newborn, exhaustion, out of fruits and veggies. I was, rather unsuccessfully, trying to muster up the energy needed to get all three of us out of the house and to the grocery store because the cupboards were bare. I still had a few basics, but it was one of those times when grocery day was two days ago, and I was totally out of fresh produce. As in the last banana was eaten at breakfast.
Then, like healthy superheros to those in need, The Fruit Guys rang the bell. Well, a delivery man did on their behalf anyway. And holy Toledo, this box of organic goodies bought me a couple of extra days to get to the store.

I love the idea of produce delivery! I had a coupon for Door to Door Organics once. However, we live in an apartment, and our office didn’t let us know that the package had come. So, they called us about a week later and said, “Um, you have a package here, and it’s starting to smell…”
Grr. I’m thinking we’ll have to wait until we have a house to try it again!
I love the concept, but every time I have gotten a box from a coop that comes prepacked I am a little disappointed. Do you get to pick what you want? In the end, I think I like to pick my own produce…two ripe bananas, two green and so on. If you could specify details like that I am in, but they would probably think I am so annoying!
