I have a secret. This is my first Bob Harper DVD—gasp! I can actually envision Jenn’s disbelief rushing across her face. Trust me, it’s not something I’m proud of, but better late than never, right? I was stoked to see his newest DVD come in the mail. As a huge (and I do mean HUGE) fan of the The Biggest Loser, I’ve always wanted to experience one of his sweat-drenching workouts and Bob Harper: Totally Ripped Core totally lived up to the expectation.
Totally Ripped Core isn’t for the faint of heart and promises you’ll get a great workout. (Make sure you bring a towel to mop up the floor…just sayin’.) This workout is comprised of unique exercise combinations to engage and strengthen your core, while sculpting lean muscle and torching some serious calories. Bob tests your stamina and mental endurance as you push through 50 minutes of intense circuits, which include deadlift combos, a plank series, side burpees (yuck!) and gravity-defying moves—without a strong core, you’ll fall over! And for those of you like me, who rise to every challenge (even when we know we are in over our heads), there are modifications to each exercises. Even though many of the exercises involve weights, mastering the moves with nothing but your body weight is a serious challenge.
Along with the Totally Ripped Core workout, this DVD also includes a 10-minute Ripped Core Quick Bonus. With similar combinations as the 50-minute body burner I mentioned above, I couldn’t help but love how short and powerful this workout was. It was perfect after a long day at work, especially when heading to the gym wasn’t an option.
Bob Harper will have you feeling successful and beautiful with a totally ripped core! If you love Bob Harper as much as we do, be sure to check out Jenn’s one-on-one interview with Bob here.
