Mole Martini Recipe: Perfect for Your Cinco de Mayo Celebration

Looking for the perfect Cinco de Mayo drink for this weekend’s festitivties? Look no further than this Mole Martini. Inspired by the classic Mexican mole sauce and made with ZICO Latte (full disclosure: we got the recipe from them!) and other low-carb and low-sugar ingredients, you save yourself some extra calories while still enjoying a calienté cocktail!

Mole Martini Recipe

Serves: 1
Per serving: 159 calories, 4.8 g carbs (4.8 from sugar), 0 g fat
Ingredients: Mole Martini
Equivalent of sweetener of choice (all-natural stevia preferred) to 1 cup of sugar
1 cup water
2 dried poblano peppers
3 oz ZICO Latte
1 oz tequila
1 oz Mezcal
½ oz Sugar-Free Chile Simple Syrup
3 tbsp sugar-free chocolate syrup
2 dashes mole bitters
Directions
1. Heat the water to a simmer, add your sweetener and poblano peppers and stir to combine. Simmer on the lowest heat your stovetop will allow for an hour; strain peppers.
2. Shake ingredients together, reserving 1 tbsp of sugar-free chocolate syrup. Drizzle martini glass with remaining chocolate syrup, and serve. Slice simmered poblano peppers into strips, and garnish with one to two strips.
