Do Gender Roles Have a Place in Your Kitchen?

Is a woman’s place in the kitchen? I mean, I like cooking, and I really like eating, but I wouldn’t say that I belong in there. Certainly not any more so than my husband does. If you want a vegetarian dish with some Mexican flair, I’m your girl, but if you’re looking for the best key lime pie you’ve ever tasted, you’ll definitely want Jared in charge. But every household is different, and for a variety of different reasons — work schedules, strengths, etc.
A few months ago, we shared a survey with our readers to see how traditional gender roles affected their kitchen habits, and you guys came through with some great answers. The breakdown is in the graphic below (and if you want to use it yourself, you can find it here — just please remember to link back to us!).
We loved hearing everyone’s thoughts on this topic — so much so, that we’ll be sharing another post in the near future with some of the rad comments left by respondents. In the meantime, though, enjoy the info below. Does it match up with what you expected to see?

If you didn’t weigh in on the survey, tell us now — are gender roles a factor in you kitchen? —Kristen
