30 Thoughts I Have While Breastfeeding Baby 3

With your first baby, you can spend hours sitting and nursing, looking into your baby’s eyes. With subsequent children, it’s slightly less relaxing, particularly if your older kids are still quite young. The big kids need things, and they’re not afraid to tell you. I’ve also found that I’m so forgetful that I never have what I need when I sit down. Here are just 30 of the thoughts that I have every time I breastfeed my youngest.

30 Thoughts I Have While Breastfeeding Baby 3

It’s so nice to just sit.
Which side am I on? Why can I never remember?
The kids ate my brain, that’s why.
Sure, I can come help you wipe.
I should get a medal for multitasking.
Ah … relaxing.
Stop hitting each other!
Don’t throw that.
Where’s my phone?
Can you bring me my phone? Anyone?
No, bring it TO me.
Go blow your nose, please.
Why is my phone never charged?
This baby is the sweetest.
Yep, I’ll tie your blanket into a cape.
She is totally going to poop soon.
Where is the darn remote?
No, it’s not even near lunch time yet.
My lap is not big enough for all three of you!
Seriously, remote.
I’ll make lunch as soon as I’m done, I swear.
I’m thirsty.
Aww, nursing smiles are the best.
I love babies.
Why do I not have water?
I’m so hungry. Maybe it is lunch time after all.
Ok, burp time!
Where’s the burp cloth?
Oh, I probably won’t need …
Shoot.

What would you add to the list? —Erin
