Trying Flirty Girl Fitness Live

Workout with Flirty Girl Fitness in your living room.Today’s post is a part of FBG’s second-annual Love Yo’Self Week. After all, what better way to love yo’self than getting a little flirty and fit?

It would be darn-near impossible for us to run a full week of Love Yo’Self posts without mentioning sexy workouts. And from strip-tease classes to pole dancing, there are a lot of ways to get your sexy fitness on. If you’re like us though, you may not be totally comfortable getting all sexified in a class with, you know, other people. If I’m about to act a fool, I’d frankly rather do it in the comfort of my own home where I can at least practice my moves in the mirror, thereby editing out any that are just too ridiculous. And this is where Flirty Girl Fitness Live comes into play.

flirty girl fitness liveKind of like Gaiam TV but live and with more of a health-club feel to it, Flirty Girl Fitness Live streams classes to your home computer or TV. With Bikini Bootcamp, Booty Beat, Pole Dancing, Video Vixen and Hottie Body Boxing, you can take a variety of dance, strength and cardio classes without feeling self conscious in the least. (Okay, well, maybe a bit self conscious because some of my attempted strip-tease dance moves embarrass me even when I’m alone.) A month of unlimited classes is $15, or you can pay $10 for a week of classes, or pony up $5 for 24 hours of access. There’s an average of four live classes that you can do in real-time each day—or you can choose to watch a handful of recently recorded workouts or another 14 classes that are always available “on demand.”

When I first tried a Flirty Girl Fitness Live class, I wondered how it would be different than doing workout DVDs. But unlike workout DVDs, which can feel a bit impersonal and commercial at times, Flirty Girl Fitness Live is basically like having access to a health club’s group exercise room whenever you want. You see the instructor and the other girls in the room, and you get to virtually join in. The music is fun, the instructors are upbeat yet not overly polished (they feel more like your best bud—I tried a class the day after the Super Bowl, so she was asking about how everyone’s parties were and if they were ready to burn off those nachos), and the workouts are no joke. While I’d still prefer to actually go to a gym to take a class, if you’ve been wanting to get your sexy on—or try Flirty Girl Fitness classes—this is an easy and pretty cheap way to do it no matter where you live.

Have you ever tried live streaming workouts? Would you? Tell us about it! —Jenn
