What it is: Found in wet forests in southwest India, Myanmar and Indonesia, garcinia cambogia — or gambooge — is a cousin of mangosteen. About the size of an orange but the shape of a pumpkin, garcinia cambogia has long been used in chutneys and curries.
How it’s healthy: Garcinia cambogia is said to help with stomach issues.
How to try it: Right now, the best way to try this one is to actually go to where it’s grown and enjoy it in local cuisine, like sour curry. There are a ton of garcinia cambogia supplements out there, but as they’re all quick-fix weight-loss supplements with known side effects, they are best to be avoided!
