2017 Mommies: The Best Products for Moms, Kids and Families

When you find something awesome, you want to share it. That goes for anything, but especially when you’re a mom and said product saves the day, saves you time or saves your sanity. And we’re no different here at FBM. We’ve tried A LOT of stuff over the course of the past 365 days, and these are the mama finds that are THE BEST. So great we just have to share them! And, just like we award the Fitties, Noshies and Zennies, say hello to the 2017 Mommies!

2017 Mommies Winners

Best cleaning product: P2 i Clean Everything All-in-1 Surface Cleaner Concentrate. It’s a space saver because it cleans everything and is biodegradable, non-toxic, non-flammable, non-allergenic, non-GMO, vegan and gluten-free, not tested on animals, safe for children and pets, and has no harsh chemicals. Seriously, toss out your other cleaning products and go for this all-in-one.

Best first bike: Strider. Skip the training wheels and go for this balance bike that is AWESOME. They even have versions for kids to ride as young as 12 months old!

Best picnic must-have: Tiny Bites Food Shears. With an on-blade ruler, cutlery-grade stainless steel blades and a child-proof protective blade cover, you can throw these in your picnic or bag and easily cut food on the go or at home. They’re particularly awesome for halving tricky items like grapes and baby tomatoes, but they also make easy and quick work out of pizza or sandwiches.

Best resuable bags: Stasher Bags. Self-sealing, airtight, made of silicone (and not plastic), these bags can easily be used and washed more than a thousand times. Totally good for the planet and your pocketbook.  You can even write fun notes on the outside of them! We’ve been using them nonstop. They’re obviously great for snacks, traveling and lunches but also for markers, toys, toiletries … anything!

Best sanity-saving recipe: Slow Cooker Chicken Chili. Throw this together in 10 minutes in the morning, and your evening will thank you. (So will your fam!)

Best meal-delivery service for all ages: Nuture Life. Delicious, organic and clean meals for every age of kiddo, from babies to teens!

Best kid-friendly hotel chain when you’re on a road trip: Drury Inn. It was news to us, but now you know, too! After a long day of driving, drink tickets for the adults and a free hot food option from 5:30 to 7 p.m. is LEGIT AWESOME.

Best gym bag that can work as a diaper bag, too: Infinity Bag. They thought of EVERYTHING with this bag. It’s designed as a gym bag, but with all of its easy-to-get-to zippers, compartments and pouches, it easily works as a diaper bag — or as we like to call it IRL bag! They thought of EVERYTHING! (Spoiler: we’re giving one away tomorrow!)

Best diaper bag accessory: Mother Load Collection. And in that Infinity Bag, throw these in. They will you to be organized, with all of your kiddo essentials at the ready. Genius.

Best way to get into gardening: Seeding Square. For kids or adults who need some extra education on proper gardening, it really does make planting fruits and veggies from seeds super duper simple — and fun. No matter what you’re planting, it tells you how far to keep your seeds apart and then how deep to plant them. It’s basically paint- (or plant-) by-number for your garden. And it’s genius.

Best activity tracker for your kids: Garmin vivofit jr. With fun games to encourage being active, a step counter and even a sleep tracker, your kiddos will love playing with these. Plus, they feel like grown-ups with their own wearable!

Best portable playard (AKA, item you didn’t know you need, but you do): Summer Infant Pop ‘N Play Portable Playard. From infants to toddlers, this is a total mom sanity saver. Whether you’re outside, working out, traveling or just need to keep the littles corraled and safe for a short time, this portable playard breaks down easily and takes up very little space when not in use. A must-have!

Best new apps for mom sanity: Fit Bottomed World app and YouAte. Both of these are free, and both of these are awesome for helping you to stay motivated, active and eating right. Try ’em!

Best baby monitor: Baby Glow Video Monitor & Projection Camera. This system is incredibly easy to use and intuitive, the video is of good quality, it has a good battery life and the extra bells and whistles — like a projection feature that puts stars on your ceiling in three different colors and the ability to play lullabies and nature sounds directly from the camera or from the remote screen — makes it a system that you’ll use with your baby and older kids for years.

bibs

Best baby bib: ShamBibby. More than just a cute name, this baby bib is soft, easy to clean and long enough that’ll it grow with your babe.

Best mom truths: Fit Bottomed Girls Podcast episodes. Smart, real and totally honest. What’s not to love?
