November Fit Bottomed Challenge Week 4: Celebrate Each Day

This week, we’ll be celebrating Thanksgiving with our families and loved ones. And on that day, we will be doing lots of things — probably going out for a quick run, cooking, laughing, drinking some wine, playing some games. But something we will not be doing come Thursday is counting calories or obsessively worrying about burning off that pumpkin pie. In fact, you won’t see us doing that any day of year — because life is too darn short to spend it obsessing about a perfect diet or a number on the scale. Instead, we’re going to mindfully eat the foods we want until we’re full, move our bodies and have a good time.

Because, really, all days are special. Even the non-holidays ones. Which is what we want you to think about this week of the Attitude of Gratitude Fit Bottomed Challenge*.

We choose to celebrate each special day — and encourage you to do so, too. Even if you’re not thrilled with how you’re progressing towards your goals right now, find the joy and gratitude in the process. Be happy that you have another day to go after it, girl.

What to Expect This Week of the Fit Bottomed Challenge: November 23-30

Monday, November 23: It’s time to find a healthy turkey day recipe! We’re partial to this quick and easy one, or, really, any of these holiday recipes.

Tuesday, November 24: When’s the last time you thanked your tribe — those people who support you in your healthy efforts and lifestyle? Today, tell them that you appreciate all that they do for you!

Wednesday, November 25: Before the feasting begins tomorrow, get in an awesome workout today. Here are some fun ideas.

Thursday, November 26: Happy Thanksgiving! Today, show us what’s on your plate, plus 25+ things you’re grateful for! Share with us on Instagram and Twitter with #FBGChallenge for a chance to win free fit goodies customized just for you (U.S. only, please).

Friday, November 27: Jump for (workout) joy with this jumping workout. Seems a bit too ambitious? Cut the reps in half to modify.

Saturday, November 28: It’s the last Bootyfull Saturday of the month! Celebrate with your fave cardio for 35 minutes, followed by 25 lunges on each side. You’ve been working up to this all month— you can totally do it!

How will you celebrate each day? Lately, my morning ritual of a cup of coffee and three deep breaths as I hold my daughter and we look outside to greet the morning (good morning, morning!) puts a celebratory smile on my face each day. Even if I’m totally sleep deprived! —Jenn
