5 Steps to Help You Fall in Love With (or at Least Not Loathe) Cooking
Step 4: Find Your Niche
Once you’ve been toying around in the kitchen for a while you will naturally discover your forte. My husband Bill loves to barbeque; his offer to light up the grill stands in rain, sleet or snow. Last December he donned a parka in 20-degree weather so that he could grill an herb-crusted beef tenderloin for Christmas. And Bill hates cold weather!
So why did he do it? Because he loves to grill, he garners great satisfaction from it, he likes to impress everyone, he hates doing dishes, and he might just be a little bit crazy. And dinner was fabulous.
You might find that you love making tapas, or you are the omelet king. Once you find your niche, you are on your way. As you grow more confident your knack for the craft will evolve.
